Subsidize Bad Behavior?

http://townhall.com/columnists/LawrenceKudlow/2009/02/19/subsidize_bad_behavior?page=full&comments=true

Have to agree with this one 100% Why in the hell should people be bailed out when they made a decision they knew was a bad one while those of us who paid our mortgages and sacrificed other things like vacations, cars, etc. to do so foot the bill. This is plain old wealth redistribution (socialism/communism/you decide). Which begs the question, why should I work hard any longer and pay all my bills when my neighbor doesn't and the government simply bails him out (with my tax dollars no less).

Democrats need to take economics 101. Geez.

http://www.boston.com/news/politics/politicalintelligence/2009/02/dissension_on_t.html

So not only are they burdening our children and us for years to come, but it seems more and more likely that it isn't even going to help. Obama and the liberals in Congress are simply using the economic crisis to force all their pet projects that they have dreamed about for the last several decades right down our throats. I honestly think that the United States of America I grew up in is really gone. Welcome everyone to the United Socialists of America. Next thing you know we'll be forming an American Union with Mexico and Canada like Europe did and they'll be making our laws for us. Good freaking grief.

ESPN to ISPs: Pay for Your Customers to Play Video

http://blog.wired.com/business/2009/02/espn-stands-fir.html

Lovely. Yet another avenue for ESPN to force everyone to pay for their product without having any choice. Either pay for it or have no cable/satellite. Either pay for it or have no Internet. Freaking great. I can't believe the ISPs go for it. I guess though that this just proves that most broadband ISPs have a monopoly or very close to it and so they just don't have to worry about passing on the cost to their consumers because many have no place else to go for a connection.
