Wow. I hadn't thought of that. I knew that shared source was not "as good" as open source but now it really seems worse than completely closed source software.

My question is... why would any of these installations have any valuable information related to national security on the public Internet in the first place? That is just asinine in this day and age. As is shown over and over again any system can be hacked given enough time, expertise and money.

Seems like Wikipedia may not be a reliable information source any more. These types of reports just keep coming up. What's stupid about this is that they think simply by controlling people's editing rights to Wikipedia that they can magically alter reality. That seems to be a highly inflated view of their importance in the grand scheme of things. A few seconds on Google, Live Search, Yahoo search, Ask.com, etc. will turn up quite a few other sources of information beyond their control. At any rate, I would recommend taking anything your read there with more than a few grains of salt and at the least try and find some other source of information to cross check things before accepting them as correct.
